MCMI 2026 calls for submissions of regular papers reporting original research results in the field of multimodal pattern recognition. All submissions will undergo a double-blind review by at least three members of the program committee. Accepted full papers (more than 6 pages) will be published in the conference proceedings by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. Short papers (6 pages or fewer) may be presented at the workshop but will not appear in the proceedings.

Regular paper submissions have specific requirements for length, content, and supporting materials that should be submitted. Please check the submission guidelines for details.

Papers should be submitted through the official Microsoft CMT submission portal.

The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.

  • Workshop Paper Submission Deadline: April 20, 2026 May 5, 2026
  • Notification to Authors: May 20, 2026 June 2, 2026
  • Camera-Ready Instructions: Springer will contact authors of accepted papers after June 15, 2026
  • Workshop Date: August 21, 2026

All deadlines refer to midnight (23:59) in the AoE (Anywhere on Earth) time zone. For the camera-ready version, at least one author of each accepted paper must register for ICPR 2026. Authors of accepted papers will receive the camera-ready submission instructions directly from Springer after June 15, 2026. Papers that are not presented at the workshop will not be included in the proceedings.

All accepted papers will be published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS), Springer
